this gorge, with its remarkable geology, is very busy (inadvisable in high season) although some important in situ gear takes away a little from its wild feel, the Marc gorge is still interesting for an introduction to the activity

this rather watery descent is a good sum up of all the is canyoning. After a short lesson in abseiling (a way of going down a rope), the descent happens in a series of different obstacles : jumps of up to 8m (never without an escape), 2 abseils, one of 17m, swimming, little slides...

Meeting place :
meeting at 9h00 in SIGUER : next to « maison des Comtes de Foix. 10mn from Tarascon: follow Vicdessos, go through Niaux and Capoulet. After this village, turn left towards Siguer. Go straight in the village and you can park on the little place 200 m further

• Prices :
individual price: 38 euros - incliding staff, equipement and insurance - 8 persons per group maximum
• Booking :
By phone or email, on demand from may to october (inadvisable form 15st july to 15st august)
• Equipement to bring :
-Shoes that you can wet (out-door or sport shoes...) -Swim suit -hold long hairs
• Equipement lended :
2-pièce wetsuit (5 mm), neoprene socks, helmet, harness, -Group kit : ropes, waterproof containers, screwgates...
